Private equity (PE) and venture capital investment activity is growing across Latin America, per the latest TTR Data and Datasite data. The IT and BPO outsourcing industry is capturing a significant part despite AI and automation reshaping buyers' preferences.
"From where I sit, the market is solid," says Lawrence Lanzilli, CEO of Connecticut-based LNZ Ventures. "Weβre working with four clients on the buy side and 10 on the sell side, so I see both sides of the table."
LNZ Ventures recently executed a deal with an Indian seller. "We introduced an Indian buyer within 24 hours," says Lanzilli.
Despite optimism on the ground, global IT M&A activity is still largely driven by strategic buyers, hitting $262.2 billion in Q2 FY2026, per PitchBook's data. Of this, strategic buyers drove $213.6 billion in value, six times the $32.5 billion from private equity and venture capital players.
Lanzilli told Nearshore Americas that there's no decline in cross-border M&A activity in the BPO market. PE players are actively looking for good, well-structured companies to back. "Itβs possible the numbers show differently...but among the people Iβve talked with on both the buyer and the seller sides, sentiment globally is strong."
